Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal data Cygnet Revenue Systems collects through this website and in the course of working with clients, why, and what your rights are. It's written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Cygnet Revenue Systems, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 99605171. VAT number NL005400244B18.

What we collect

Enquiries: your name, email address, company, the service you're interested in and your message, when you use the enquiry form or email us.
Client work: business contact details and the information needed to deliver and invoice the agreed work.
Technical data: the hosting provider processes IP addresses in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking pixels.

Why we use it, and the legal basis

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
To deliver and invoice client work: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
To keep financial records: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
To keep the website secure: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).

We don't sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to a mailing list without your separate consent.

Who processes it for us

Netlify, Inc. hosts this website and receives enquiry-form submissions.
Our business email provider stores email correspondence.
Our accounting software provider stores invoicing and financial records.

Each provider processes data under a data processing agreement. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it's protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work: deleted after 12 months.
Client records and invoices: kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how it's used, or to receive it in a portable format. Email info@cygnetrevenue.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
